Welcome to College And Cooking: Rhianna's Kitchen
After years of dreaming about heading off to college, the moment is finally here! But this new adventure comes with endless questions: Which classes should I take? Should I join a fraternity or sorority? How will I keep up with all this homework? Should I learn how to cook?
The answer is YES!
Cooking isn’t just about making meals, it’s about embracing independence, creativity, and well-being. Here’s why learning to cook should be at the top of your college to-do list:
🍽 Choice – After years of other people making all the decisions, now it is your turn. You get to decide what’s on your plate.
🍽 Control – You’ve probably heard horror stories of the Freshman 15 -- the extra pounds many first-years gain. Cooking for yourself gives you power over portions, ingredients, and nutrition, helping you stay healthy and energized.
🍽 Knowledge – College is about learning, and even if you forget calculus or Spanish the day after graduation, you will always need to eat. Preparing and cooking is a skill that will serve you for life.
🍽 Satisfaction – It’s 1 AM, the stores are closed, and you're craving a snack. Good thing you know how to make chocolate-covered popcorn! (Don’t worry, I’ll be sharing the recipe soon!)
Cooking isn’t just a necessity, it’s an adventure. So grab your apron, fire up the stove, and use this blog as your guide to delicious independence. Together let’s make your college experience as flavorful as possible!
